COLLEGE STUDY SKILLS

ESCAPE ROOM

Our class, T16 hosted an escape room as our CSS event. We had prepared the escape room based on one of the short stories we studied in literature called 'Examination Day'. The event was held on Saturday the 21st of September 2019. It started as early as 9 a.m. and ended at 10 p.m. We had 13 groups who participated and each has 45 minutes to finish the game. Truthfully our class teamwork was threatened when preparing the event, it was hard when we all had arguments with each other but we managed to make it! We all had our own shift to follow in certain 'work'. I was the runner in the second slot, which was at 1 p.m., in charge of 'guarding' the door in case any of the contestants wanted to use the 'lifeline', they would tell by knocking the door thrice and I would call the briefer to explain to them on the help they needed. My housemates went all the way and visited my booth because I prepared the props for the photobooth, though I know how much they don't like to go out of our dorm. I was touched honestly. Overall, it was fun preparing this event and we had a successful one if I might say! We got a few participants who managed to escape the room and the fastest finished in 20 minutes or so, if I remember correctly! We had given them some cash as a prize! I am sure they are delighted!
